DART+ South West Railway Order Application

Introduction

Córas Iompair Éireann (CIÉ) received approval from An Bord Pleanála for a Railway Order for the DART+ South West project on 13 November 2024. The Railway Order application was submitted to An Bord Pleanála on 22 March 2023. The approved Railway Order authorises CIÉ to carry out railway works and all works necessary to enable the construction, operation, maintenance, and improvement of the railway between Hazelhatch and Celbridge Station (County Kildare) and Heuston Station, Dublin (approximately 16 km) on the Cork Main Line, as well as works between Heuston Station and Glasnevin via the Phoenix Park Tunnel Branch Line
