Welcome to the DART+ Programme

The DART+ Programme will revolutionise travel in the Greater Dublin Area. It will see the DART network grow from its current 50km in length to over 150km. Bringing DART travel with all its benefits to new and existing communities. It will promote multi modal transit, active transport, boost regional connectivity and make public transport the preferred option for more and more people.

DART+ South West

We have now concluded the 1st round of Public Consultation on the Emerging Preferred Option for the DART+ South West Project. This consultation was our way of asking you, as potential users of the service or those likely to be affected by its development, for your views on our early design plans. All submissions are being reviewed and considered as part of the design process, in preparation for the 2nd round of Public Consultation.

Update on DART+ West Preferred Option at Coolmine

We are now preparing for a second round of public consultation for the DART+ West project, which is due to launch in July 2021. In advance of the launch of these consultation, Iarnród Éireann is announcing that the Preferred Option for DART+ West at Coolmine is significantly different to that previously proposed. As an alternative to the provision of a new vehicular bridge, the DART+ West Preferred Option proposes to upgrade road junctions and re-route traffic on the existing road network by using the existing railway crossing points at Diswellstown Viaduct and Castleknock Bridge.
